ELLSWORTH — On Tuesday, the Ellsworth Eagles got on the scoreboard at the 24:22 mark of the first period when freshman Nick Holt came up with the ball after a corner kick and lofted it over the head of the Old Town defenders and into the net.
As in the previous game, Ellsworth added three more goals in the second half.
The first came at the 27:24 mark when senior Matt Duhaime took a pass from Emeigh near the end line and drilled a shot from the left of the goal that bounced off Old Town goalie Lee Larry and into the net.
Six minutes later, junior Andrew Austin launched one shot that was knocked away by Larry, but Cote Card captured the rebound and sent the ball back out to Austin, who drilled his second effort into the goal.
Ellsworth added another goal with 5:29 left to go when sophomore Kyle Haslam took a crossing pass from Drew Barkhouse and punched the ball into the net.
Ellsworth goalies Jordan Carter and Justin Kane combined for 10 saves on 16 shots, and Larry had eight saves on 27 shots for Old Town.
