Lady Eagles Cruise Past Raiders

Written by  Hugh Bowden Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 8:45 am

EAST MACHIAS — The GSA Eagles scored twice in the first half and twice in the second as they blanked the Raiders 4-0 on Saturday.

“They held us scoreless for 32 minutes,” said GSA coach Steve Bemiss, “but then they got tired and we didn’t.”

Anna Clapp and Coral O’Brien scored first-half goals for the Eagles.

India Frazier had both second-half goals, one on an assist from Lydia Clapp and the other on an assist from Maddi Theoharidis.

The Eagles outshot the Raiders 18-7 and GSA goalkeeper Hannah Van der Eb had five saves.
