Glendon and Mary Sprague were the guests of honor at a 60th wedding anniversary dinner July 27 at the Crocker House on Hancock Point.
Joining the couple were their three children and spouses, Julie Grindle and husband, Roger, Rick Sprague and wife, Rochelle, and Janis Frost and husband, Tom. The Spragues also enjoyed the company of their grandchildren, Shayna Grindle, Joshua Frost and wife, Susan, Tim Frost and wife, Amanda, Travis Frost, Aaron Sprague, Ashlee Sprague and friend Dave Robinson. Grandson Shawn Grindle from New York was unable to attend but sent his best wishes in a telegram. The couple were most pleased to receive a photo book of their lives from the family as well as a shower of cards from friends and extended family.
The Spragues were married July 27, 1949, in Ellsworth. Their attendants were Lester Sprague and Christine Davis Linscott. They worked and raised their family in Ellsworth and still reside in the city.
