BAR HARBOR — one of the Criterion Theatre’s most beloved special programs continues “bigger and better and more international than ever,” according to spokesman Rob Jordan.
The Criterion is partnering with Emerging Pictures “to bring the best in high definition opera from around the world to Downeast Maine, with an increase in both the number of programs and screening times,” he said.
Next up, on Thursday, June 25, is Gioacchino Rossini’s “II Viaggio a Reims.” On Thursday, July 2, it’s Giuseppe Verdi’s “Rigoletto.”
Tickets for general admission are $20 each and season passes are $99 each for six performances. Each season pass is good for one screening per opera. Purchase tickets at the Criterion box office at least three days prior to performances to secure tickets for a particular show.
