ELLSWORTH — The district attorney’s office has dismissed a case against a Tremont man accused in a standoff last year with state police.
Scott Kingsbury, 46, was arrested Dec. 10 following what police described as an armed standoff at his home in the village of West Tremont. He was subsequently charged with criminal threatening, reckless conduct and the threatening display of a weapon.
Assistant district attorney Mary Kellett said the case against Mr. Kingsbury was dismissed on June 3 because the two witnesses were unavailable.
