CASTINE — The Lady Mariner Volleyball team hosted The University of Maine at Machias for a non-conference match-up Wednesday evening at Margaret Smith Gymnasium. MMA won the match 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-10) en route to their 16th win of the year.

Seniors Jaymie Frederick (Epping, NH) and Stephanie DeHaven (Reistertown, MD) were honored before the match and responded on the court as well collecting five and six kills respectively. Junior Chelsea Ward (Homer, AK) led the way for MMA collecting 10 kills while Melissa Lail (Elizabeth, CO) chipped in with seven.

Setter Jennifer Dixon (Woodstock, MD) had a game high 33 assists and five aces, while Lauren Sakahara (Bellevue, WA) collected a game high 17 digs.

Jamyriah McPherson led the Clippers with four kills and five digs on the night while Amber Frey and Kate Richardson each collected four kills.

The win improved MMA's record to 16-9 headed into the NAC playoffs while the Clippers fall to 5-12.
