BAR HARBOR—Maurice Roger Allaire died peacefully May 15, 2010, at his home in Bar Harbor after a long battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille; a daughter, Erin Dowsley-Davis and her family; stepgrandsons, Daniel and Michael Farese; two brothers, Richard and Norman; and two sisters; Theresa Tempest and Irene Linsky; many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by two stepsons, Joseph and Sabino Farese.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. May 25, 2010, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Blackstone, Mass. In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make a donation to Hospice of Hancock County, 14 McKenzie Ave., Ellsworth, ME 04605.
